BAREFIELD, G. W., Obituary

AGED EUFAULA CITIZEN DEAD - G. W. Barefield, an old and highly esteemed citizen of Eufaula, died last week after an illness of several weeks from pneumonia. Mr. Barefield was past 60 years old, and was known and esteemed by a wide circle of friends. He was a veteran of the Civil War and bore the scars of several conflicts. He leaves a widow and several children and grand children. [Marion County Democrat, (Marion, AL), October 22, 1903]


DAVIS, Mrs., Obituary

Mrs. Davis, one of East Perry's oldest citizens died at her home at Perryville last Wednesday and was buried at the Pisgah Cemetery Thursday afternoon. [Marion Democrat, (Marion, Ala.), Feb. 18, 1903]


WHITE, John, Obituary

Mr. John White died May 22d, 1900, at 5:30 p.m at his home, at Radfordville, after a protracted illness of la grippe. He was 78 years of age. He lived where he was born the whole of his life. He married in 1848 Miss Mary E. Richardson and they lived a happy, Christian life together until April 23, 1894 when his most amiable wife was called to a happier world above, and ow he has gone to meet that beloved wife and three children. They leave seven children behind to mourn their untimely loss. May they all meet that loving mother and father in Heaven.
