PUPIL DIED OF DIPHTHERIA
Victim Isolated in Prendergast Hall at Farm School.

Olaf W. Weighum, twenty-four years old, of the intermediate class of the university agricultural school, died of diphtheria while isolated In Prendergast hall, the college dormitory, where he had been since taken ill several days previous, as the St. Paul city hospital refused to admit him to its contagious ward on account of lack of room. The body was taken to Spring Grove, the home of the deceased. Dr. Myron H. Reynolds, in charge of the health of the students, said that every precaution had been taken to prevent the spread of the disease by taking throat cultures of all students, but no new case had been discovered.
