Mar. 4, 1846. At a church meeting held by the First Baptist Church of Carlton at the meeting house to take into consideration the division of said Church, the following resolution was adopted.

Resolved that those members of the First Baptist Church who may be disposed to be formed into a Church by the name of the Central Baptist Church of Carlton shall have the privelege by transmiting their names to the clerk by the first day of May, 1846.

Accordingly, Jefferson Edmonds and wife, Leonard Willson and wife, H. O. Miles and wife, Albert Rich and wife, N. L. Ballou, J. T. Chamberlain, Lucinda Day, Lucinda Parrish and Phebe Hall with drew and formed themselves into a church by the name of the Central Baptist Church of Carlton; and appointed J. Edmonds moderator, Albert Rich clerk and Jefferson Edmonds Deacon; and adopted (rules) of faith and covenant.
