DEE, Jeremiah, Jr., Obituary

Mr. Dee, aged about 75 years, father of Wm. Dee of north of Olmitz, dropped dead at the supper table Saturday evening last. He had been in feeble health for some time. Funeral occurred Monday, and the remains were interred in the Galatia cemetery. [Barton County Democrat, (Great Bend, Kan.), Friday, January 20, 1899, p.1.]


SCHENK, Terezie Zena, Obituary

Report reaches this office that Mrs. Anton Schenk, near Olmitz, died on Saturday last after a very short illness and was buried in the Olmitz cemetery Tuesday. [Barton County Democrat, (Great Bend, Kan.), Friday, February 17, 1899, p.1.]


SJOGREN, Hugo, Obituary

Hugo, son of John and Mary Sjogren, died last Saturday night after an illness of two weeks with typhoid malarial fever. The remains were interred in Pawnee Rock cemetery, Sunday afternoon. Hugo was 17 years of age and a member of the Lutheran church. His death is a great bereavement to his family who mourn the taking away of a loving son and brother.
