Aug. 1, 1728, "The south part of Turkey Hills established as Lunenburg." Prov. Laws, Vol. II, p. 520. First (Congregational) Church organized 1835. A Unitarian Church became extinct there in 1860. Date of organization unknown. Officiating clergymen mentioned: Revs. David and Ebenezer Stearns, Rev. Zabdiel Adams.
