Pleasant Ridge Cemetery was the site of the "Amwell First Presbyterian Church," now located at Reaville, which was organized before 1737. It is on the "Old York Road" which followed a still older Indian path across the state, half way between Ringoes and Reaville in the Town of Raritan, Huntingdon County, New Jersey. The ground now occupied by the cemetery was taken over by "The Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Association," incorporated Dec. 17, 1912. (Vol. 2, page 88). Much interesting comment on families connected with the church will be found in Rev. John B. Kugier's "The First English Presbyterian Church in Amwell."
