Dunham Family Burying Ground is located on the old Dunham farm about 100 yards east of a lane which runs southerly from the Highway between Metuchen and New Brunswick. This lane is the first east of the cross road leading from Stelton depot to Piscataway town in the Town of Raritan, Middlesex County, New Jersey.

Some years ago the late Oliver B. Leonard, Esq., of Plainfield, made a partial copy of the inscriptions in this yard. Since that time the inscriptions have completely disappeared from three stones, and in these instances Mr. Leonard's copy is given in italics.

Raritan Township was set off from Piscataway and Woodbridge townships in 1870.
