TAPPIN, John F., Obituary

Ex-Police Captain John F. Tappin, proprietor of the Pell Tree Inn, Pelham Bay, and who resided at 1,057 Hoe Avenue, the Bronx, died yesterday. He was 52 years old and left a widow. Captain Tappin was dismissed from the police force by the then Commissioner Cropsey in December, 1910, but was reinstated by Commissioner Waldo in 1913.
