The three score years and ten of his pilgrimage were spent in usefulness and piety. He was for many years a consistent member of the M. E. Church, much of the time in office, which he filled to the satisfaction of all. He has left a large circle of friends to mourn his loss, but they have the assurance that his bark is safely moored in a heavenly port "where sickness, sorrow, pain and death, are felt and feared no more."
